WELLINGTON, November 1, 2025] The New Zealand national cricket team have displayed their dominance at home, securing an unassailable 2-0 series lead after a comprehensive five-wicket victory against the England cricket team in the second One-Day International (ODI) at Seddon Park.

The eng vs nz encounter saw a familiar pattern for the English side: a top-order collapse. Skipper Harry Brook (34) showed a brief flash of brilliance, and Jamie Overton (42 off 28 balls) provided a much-needed but late score, but the team was bundled out for a disappointing 175 in 36 overs.
This destruction was led by New Zealand’s fast-bowler Blair Tickner, who claimed an impressive 4/34, earning him the Player of the Match award. Debutant fast-bowling all-rounder Zakary Foulkes, often referred to as Zak Foulkes, also made a notable impact by his bowling, with taking the crucial wicket of Jamie Smith (13) and finishing with figures of 1/33.

Chasing 176, the Black Caps’ run-chase was marked by composure, despite a brief wobble. Star performers Rachin Ravindra (54) and the in-form Daryl Mitchell (56) both scored up fluent half-centuries, expertly navigating the early threat posed by bowler Jofra Archer.
Jofra Archer was, once again, the pick of the cricket england bowlers, clocking serious pace and finishing with excellent figures of 3/23 from his 10 overs. However, with insufficient runs on the board, his efforts could only slow down the inevitable.
Skipper Mitchell Santner (34*) and the middle-order, featuring Tom Latham and Michael Bracewell, ensured the Black Caps reached the target with keeping plenty of overs in balance.
